Grade II Listed Farmhouse
Grade II listed house- work in progress
The Hall is the surviving part of a substantial manor house, built in the late Tudor period and once owned by the family of Sir Francis Bacon. The Hall has been fully refurbished and features a bespoke kitchen, new bathrooms and a biomass heating system. Paint is by Farrow and Ball and Little Greene. Floor coverings are by The Unnatural Flooring Company
Substantial sections of the Jacobean walled garden survive, along with the octagonal summerhouse, an important survival which has been carefully repaired.
The derelict seventeenth century brick barn was carefully recorded and dismantled and will be replaced. Some outbuildings have been converted to residential, and others have permission for office use. Landscaping work is currently being completed to the former farmyard where converted and new build elements will respect the historic layout using a traditional palette of forms and materials to enhance the setting of the listed building.
The house and outbuildings are retained by the estate and available to rent
